Preventative Dentistry

We understand—life gets busy, and it can be easy to put off your twice-yearly dental visit. But staying on top of your routine exams can help save you time, money, and discomfort in the long run. Regular check-ups allow us to catch small concerns early, before they have a chance to develop into more complex and costly problems.

Regular dental cleanings and exams are an important part of maintaining a healthy smile. During your cleaning, we thoroughly clean your teeth and gums, removing plaque, buildup, and debris from areas that can be difficult to reach at home. Professional cleanings can also help reduce surface staining, leaving your smile feeling fresh and brighter.

Regular dental exams are equally important. During your exam, we evaluate your teeth, gums, and overall oral health to identify cavities, gum disease, and other concerns early, often before they cause discomfort or require more extensive treatment. For most patients, we recommend a cleaning and exam every six months.

Good oral hygiene at home is just as important. Brush twice a day for two minutes with fluoride toothpaste and a soft-bristled toothbrush, and floss daily to clean between your teeth and along the gumline.

Digital X-Rays

Digital X-rays are quick, comfortable, and use significantly less radiation than traditional film X-rays. They provide clear, detailed images that help us detect problems that may not be visible during a regular exam and create an accurate treatment plan.

X-rays are typically recommended based on your individual oral health needs. Additional images may be needed if we notice a concern or during a dental emergency.
